Maya Estrada
Certified Phlebotomist
Maya went to Pima Medical School because she was interested in the medical field. She was just curious about working with patients and wanted to find the best skill that would suit her. She knew she wanted to work in the medical field but preferred more patient care.
Maya enjoys being hands on with patients and getting to work with different people every day. She loves the hands-on aspect of phlebotomy from to prepping for the lab draw to researching what tubes need to go with what tests.
She was inspired by her phlebotomy instructor. She had a lot of knowledge and would share a lot more about the profession. She shared how to be professional and how to get hired at a great place like HCS.
She wanted to work here because she is able to learn more skill beyond phlebotomy and is able to work one on one with patients every day.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her daughter. They go to the park, and find new things around Phoenix to do they especially love visiting the zoo.
