Kayla Cornelius

FNP-BC, MSN

Kayla is an Arizona native and loves living in the valley of the sun. In 2013, she graduated with honors from Chamberlain University in Phoenix, AZ with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She began her nursing career at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital on the Adult Acute Rehabilitation Unit. During Kayla’s nursing career she gained critical care experience working in both the ICU and the Emergency Department in North Carolina, where her husband was stationed.

After working as a bedside nurse for five years, Kayla quickly learned she had a strong desire to help her patients and wanted to be able to do more for them and focus of disease prevention. She attended Chamberlain University and graduated with honors in 2020 with her Master’s in Science of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has experience in family practice, internal medicine, and telehealth.

Kayla strives to help her patients reach their healthcare goals and be and advocate for their overall health and wellness. She develops an individualized plan of care for each of her patients and takes the time to really get to know her patients and develop a great rapport. Throughout her nursing career she has had the experience to work with great mentors in the medical profession that has shaped the practitioner she is today.

Kayla is the wife of a marine veteran and enjoys spending time with her husband, two small boys, and two dogs. She also enjoys crafting, reading, camping, and traveling to new places
